First showcased during Miami ART Basel 2017, the Diamond Love Capsule was inspired by Shawn Kolodny's Fake Fulfillment solo exhibition. Kolodny’s work confronts the infinite cycle of fake fulfillment shaped by modern society’s addiction to ego, using the most sought-after brands and the most addictive drugs as a visual medium. For Kolodny, addiction is a pathological relationship in which things replace self. With this in mind, Rodrigani took a different approach, embracing addiction as an inevitable part of human experience, yet giving attention and value to the most fulfilling drug of all - LOVE.
